Rally for Gun Safety at MA State House

As soon as we make guns extra-illegal, criminals will stop using and carrying them. Because if there is one thing a criminal always does - it's follow the laws.

"According to a press release from Everytown, volunteers will push legislators to combat ghost guns (untraceable firearms that are purchased online and can be assembled at home), improve gun safety standards, and invest in community violence intervention programs."

What does improving gun safety standards entail?
What does improving gun safety standards entail? Screwing legal gun owners, what else.

Would it be a bad idea to organize an open carry rally right next to them where people come with dual desert eagles on their hip? Open carry is legal, right?

Open carry is legal, right?
here is a very MA-centric quote on that from concealedcoalition, that explains how it`s done for 'everything`s illegal in MA'.

Open Carry in Massachusetts

Open carry is technically legal in Massachusetts with an LTC. It’s an uncommon practice in the state, though, and authorities can charge you with brandishing or menacing and revoke your license if you choose to do so.

So I guess all the professionally made signs, T-shirts, buses and other stuff that 'spontaneously' appear
during a lefty rally (or illegal 'guests' as they walk through Mexico) are 'coincidence'

Ma has no law on brandishing, though there is a tangential law about assault and waving a firearm around.

Menacing has a legit ma law to back it up, however in addition to the behavior meant to intimidate there needs to be a pattern of doing so.

Show me the man, I'll show you the crime (Stalin era)

Can you point to the MGL that says that? Just curious; never heard of it (but dont doubt you at all)

Not MGL, but here you go:

See 2M

No but it has a much more effective penalty system not requiring a trial, and if appealed, allowing heresay evidence to be used against you and denies you discovery.

It is not unheard of from someone to be considered "unsuitable" for holding a firearm by their side or at low ready in a potentially dangerous situation.

Sure, but his comment was in reply to the idea that carry in a holster would result in a brandishing charge.

Why does anyone have to be paid? There's thousands of children who would willingly skip school to go just in Boston, not to mention college students.

Add prents who work jobs where they could take an afternoon off, you could stack up quite a few easily without spending a cent.

Our side? Jupiter needs to be in opposition with Venus in the morning on the day of a full moon with a tempreture between 70 and 75, partial clouds, and a steady light breeze out of the south to get our asses out of our armchairs.
I was at the pro gun 2012 rally after Sandy Hook. Tons of people showed up.
