Question for Riverside members

Does anyone know why there's a sign on the 100yd range at Riverside that prohibits the use of handguns on that range? There's no such sign on the 50yd range, and I asked around but nobody had an answer.

maybe so the bullets will not hit the ground and ricochet over the berm. if the targets are too close, the bullet will fall and hit the ground before it hits the back stop and ricochet off the ground and could bounce out. we had these issues at a club I used to belong.
