I was straightening out some old boxes of gun books and Shotgun News and I found an old stack of catalogs from a place lots of us buy milsurps. I kept every flyer from this company because I knew one day I'd look at the old ones for a guide of what milsurps went for then.
Some prices haven't changed much since I first got my C&R and sent out copies to all the dealers, but availability sure has and that drove prices on some guns through the roof and some are just almost impossible to find now. Heres a few examples from an August 2004 flyer:

Swiss K31s - $78
Argentine Navy FN49s - $695
Saiga AK type sporting rifles, 16" barrel - $169
Yugo M48 Mausers - $79.95
Yugo 24/52 Mausers - $119.95
Hungarian M44 Mosin Nagants - $39.95
Romanian M44 Mosin Nagants - $37.00
Enfield No. 1 Mk3 wire wrap rifles - $79.95

Some miscelaneous stuff.... WW2 K98 slings - $20.00
Russian 7.62x39 ammo 500 rounds - $42.25
Early German bayonets - $9.95

Some of these rifles have dried up like the Yugo M48s and 24/52s and are now fetching way more than those prices. Even the K31s have doubled and I'm not even going to mention the ammo diferences and all thats only about 2 and 1/2 years ago.
My whole reason for posting this... BUY IT WHILE YOU CAN!
