The post '89 import rifles had the night sights taken off and the spring detent at the muzzle frozen to prevent someone taking the muzzle brake off and exposing the threads. The underfolders had a thumbhole stock installed with the folding stock fixed in the folded position.
From what I read:
There were some pre-1989 import ban Mitchells' and American Arms Yugo's in the country, usually marked AK-47 or RPK-47. The M90's were sitting in a bonded warehouse when the import ban hit.
Mitchells modded them to ATF spec for the time to be able to sell them.
If its a pre pre ban ...It should have ak-47 marked on it and from what I have seen I think 1300 is a pretty good price.
If its a pre/post Mod 90 marked, I think its an ok price. (condition means a lot too and you said looks unfired?) Did a quick check on GB and this past month an Underfolder M90 pre ban with 4 mags was listed @ 1399, although you could tell it was used.
Its been a while since I've been in the collecting mode for ak's, I just hope I provided enough data to get you researching further.
Who is the importer?
