Ported or non-ported shotgun chokes

What is all the rage with extended ported shotgun chokes on the skeet range? Do they really work? Are they worth the $60 a choke compared to the standard $10 remchoke

Meh.

Barrel porting on your gun will counteract muzzle rise from your first shot making it a bit easier getting on the second shot.

Ported chokes not so much.
