Not sure about on a carrier, but they have it attached to a backpack, could come in handy

When I shoot shottie, I feed the hungry mouth from a canvas bag. You would be surprised how fast you can come up from the bag with shells...

Here is a WW1 canvas ammo bag very much like what I use, and was meant to keep trench guns barking in combat...

Slugs in loops, 2 boxes of 00-buck dump into pouch.

Yes please
