Boris, I have a diplomatic mission for you[laugh]

Moscow - The overwhelming majority of Russians (82%) object to arms trade liberalization. They think that unlimited access to weapons may increase the crime rate.

Only 13% support free selling of weapons and 5% do not know, the Public Opinion Foundation said in comment on a poll held in 100 towns and cities in 43 regions on November 17-18.

Seventy-eight percent of 1,500 respondents said they would not buy weapons even if Russia permitted free selling of armaments to law-abiding and mentally healthy adults. Sixteen percent argued they would not miss that chance.

how is that working out for you so far russia?

on other hand what would you expect weapons were demonized in russia starting the end of russian civil war in early 1900s because there were very large number of populous iin Ukraine and other parts of former Imperial Russia, that wanted out and nothing to do with bolsheviks
And shortly after WW2 when there were thousands of arms in hands of civilians and government through systematic fear mongering and demonization of guns and association with criminal - enemies of working people for 80 years straight what would you expect? not to mention weapon oblavas in splinter region performed by special KGB operatives with help of local police.

My point exactly. Too bad none of the O-bot hipsters would ever make the connection.

They're too busy waiting in line for two days to get $12 off on the new eks box.

Too bad none of the O-bot hipsters would ever make the connection.

Even if they did, it would never "stick" or influence their voting routine. Why think for yourself when Jon Stewart, Bono, and the rest of the Hollywood d-bags can do it for you?

They tend to be hot headed and argue about everything. Also, they don't have the discipline not to drink while armed. Been there. Seen it. Have relatives there. I'm not surprised. This is a country with mandatory military service, so everyone has shot a gun. Not saying it is good for us though. To each his own. What works there, keep out of here.

I think you're wrong. The majority of voters get the connection and want it. Check out some of the polls on the number of people who want more socialism in this country.

Why do you think the Kenyan got elected both times?

Moscow - 110% of Russians voted for Putin

You can already purchase any gun. TTs are called assassin's gun because they are so cheap, criminals just drop that at the crime scene and get another one.

Seriously, if you ever traveled there you would not want them to have the freedom to be armed. There would be daily gun battles that would make our old west look like Etiquette School. Don't worry about that.
