Comes with Russian Roulette App:
Why has a cell phone case been causing a stir on social media, lately? According to some law enforcement officials, a case that looks like a gun is a dangerous product.

On Tuesday, New Jersey State Police posted images of the “faux gun cell phone case” to their Instagram and Facebook accounts.

“This cell phone case is a terrible idea,” the police department wrote on its Facebook page. “Officers do not have the luxury of time when making split-second decisions, while interacting with the public. We strongly recommend that you do not use this product both for your own safety and the safety of law enforcement officers.”

Some of the police department’s social media followers agreed that the case could pose a potential risk.

“I agree. Horrible concept,” wrote Instagram user “foosestang.” Another user, “misstadoodles” agreed, writing that “someone is going to get hurt because of it, be the owner because someone thinks it’s the real thing or someone else ignoring a person with a REAL gun because they assume it’s that phone case. Bad idea all around.”

Maybe they should take longer than a fraction of a second to decide whether or not to shoot someone who appears to have a gun. I didn't think having a gun was itself something you should expect to get shot over.

Same problem as someone who made a car shifter lever knob out of a Revolver.
Put your car in park while stopped and get shot for doing it!

We already have the Moonbats calling the cops on gun tatoos.

Malodave

Sometimes provoking a "lightning fast", rapid response.. (by SWAT, helicopters, canine officers, bomb squad, Sergeants, Deputy Superintendents, Lieutenants, Captains, Desk Duty Officers, etc etc)...

Just sayin' [emoji6]

It probably looks too similar to the most common throw down the PDs have in their trunks.

So you are willing to second guess yourself? If and when you need to react, the time it will take, will make you dead.

I don't know why anyone would carry shit that likes like a firearm, that isn't a firearm. The public at large now is being wound into a frenzy over different devices, Why add to it and validate the response that folks playing with that stuff will receive.

^^^^THIS post wins the Internet for the day.

Yes, I'll second guess myself if I see somebody holding or packing what appears to maybe be a gun, particularly if they're not running around aiming it at people (you'd see the phone at that point, right?) and assuming it's not making realistic gunshot noises. I don't see myself drawing down and shooting on someone who has what appears to be the handle of a pistol hanging out of their pocket, or up to their own head aimed at the sky.

Then sir, it shows that you have never been in a place where this shit happens. It happens fast and you are reacting to some one else's acting. What I am actually saying is that you don't know what you are talking about and are running the keyboard for the sake of doing so.

Where does what shit happen? Where are you so on edge that you automatically draw on someone with the butt of a gun attached to their cellphone - someone who may have a pistol on them but presumably not threatening others with it - and only by the grace of god not shoot them if you're lucky enough to make it out as a phone in time before pulling the trigger?

I agree it's not something I'd want my kid putting on his phone, but I think some of this outrage is overblown, and it's only furthering the hysteria these days around the mere existence of guns.

It may be a stupid idea, but holy jesus. If I see someone holding a regular phone I might think that's a triggering device.

If minions weren't used to open carry this gunphone wouldn't have been a problem.

You sir do not have immunity, cannot expect to remain armed after such a shooting (or even remain a gun owner when all is said and done); have your attorney provided by your union or the city; and expect to be exonerated after a full and impartial investigation by the friends you work with every day.

It is people who play under those rules, not CCW holders, who present the threat to persons using this candidate for stupid product of the year.

Again this proves that you don't have the training, or experience to speak with any basic knowledge or authority on this matter. You are just using your own personal perception of something that you never experienced. This is how the gun grabbers talk as well.
He may not be experienced in super tactical disruptive beards matters but comparing him to gun grabbing, well that's pushing it too far.

hello this is glock.

Don't laugh too hard, I am sure Glock is hard at work with a Mass compliant version that will have to call to unlock the gun before discharge. I think it will be the Glock 46, single stack 9mm of course! [rofl]

Two good friends were involved in a real shootout in a sleepy little town. When the shit comes down, it comes down scary fast one of them told me.

Did you really just say both of these things in the same post? Isn't that exactly the argument used by gun grabbers to say that only cops and soldiers are qualified to have guns? Only they have the training and experience needed to be trusted with a firearm? [laugh]

Whatever you say.

Heading in a different direction, how do these cases impact "officer safety" one way or another? Has anybody told them that they're not real guns?

Lol, like anyone is going to sell those in the US @ retail. "How to attract a lawsuit: Step 1- sell these phone cases..."
