Pictures from Syria- Amazing stuff and gun porn- AK guys take a look

Anyone want to bet the guy in matching desert camo, crouched low, with his face completely covered (even though their fighting position is in a building) is a Special Forces adviser? Rumor was the SAS is in Syria "advising" the rebels...

As an aside, all these guys using loopholes in walls are making a few very dangerous mistakes: first, never rest your barrel directly on a surface when you're shooting, you'll impair accuracy and increase your chance of a miss.

Second, and maybe more importantly, they are exposing themselves to detection by actually putting the barrel through the hole and allowing their rifles and bodies to be exposed to light and the sound/muzzle blast of their shot to escape. Reflection, sound, etc. are all your enemy here.

This is the right way to do it... back from the hole, concealed by shadow, not exposed to any direct light, and prone, exposing as little as possible of your body to detection and return fire...

This is what the 2nd amendment is meant to prevent, here.

If people do not have the means to defend themselves against a tyrannical and dangerous government this is what you get. Imagine if these guys had no weapons...

But then again, what side is the right side in Syria?

I always love the argument that "your AR will do a lot to help against tanks, nukes and drones" by antis. To which my response is "then why is this the weapon we arm rebels with? Not tanks, nukes or drones..."

Please for give my ignorance..... I was reading the comments on the OPs original post link. Im still a bit stumped on how the problems in syria are the jews fault? The hatred spewed by these posters is stagering.
I dont like whats going on as far as war in any country but is this really in the grasps of the US to really resolve anything ? so many of the pics and any of the ravages of war sadden me.

Has nothing to do with them. This is the result of the growing corruption and abuse of the people there by a minority few. It hit a boiling point 2 years back in a town which was really not a fan of Assad and not under as much control as he'd like. Unfortunately one of the remote mukhabarat stations played hard, real hard with a young kid for graffiti and that was the spark that set the place on fire. They are the worst offenders of all, they are basically well paid thugs with no real power but can do whatever they want, and I mean whatever. As for resolution, if the Prez had some testicular fortitude, he would have acted 2 years back with at least a no fly zone. Now theres 100K dead, 2 mil displaced and 3 players in the war. it wont end pretty that is for sure. Note also there is about 1 Mil plus of displaced Iraqis from the original iraq war who moved there, they are a wild card in all of this as they aint happy what happened before, they are equipped, have money and dont want to move again...Oh well, time to clean the guns for some shooting this weekend!

I was watching a show on tv. They said the us snipers were using this new super secret system for using loop holes to shoot from. They wouldn't talk about it because it was confidential. It seems many of you are very versed in it . What is the story on shooting through the loop hole?

They put a hole in the wall to shoot through . They setup as far back from the wall As they can . Just hiding techniques. I know they'll hang sheets of different material to break up light and shadows also. From what I've learn it allows then to stay in one spot for a longer period of time before relocating .

I think they got the name from the term of threading the needle , loop hole ??? Idk make sense to me .
