House Bill 3991, filed by Governor Deval Patrick (D), is still pending in the Judiciary Committee. H 3991, previously numbered H 3978, would limit law-abiding Massachusetts gun buyers from purchasing more than one firearm per month.

Please contact the Judiciary Committee members today and respectfully urge them to oppose H 3991 and any other proposal that limits the rights of lawful gun owners. Also, please contact Governor Patrick at (617) 725-4005 and politely ask him to withdraw this anti-gun legislation. Be sure to let your legislators know that the best way to reduce crime in Massachusetts is not to create new laws, but to enforce the laws against violent criminals that are already on the books!

I don't know about some of these other committee members, but Creem's a bigtime gun grabber.

Dear [Senator/Representative Whatsisname],

As a citizen of Massachusetts I am writing to the entire Joint Committee on the Judiciary to urge you to NOT TO SUPPORT HB 3978 to limit bulk purchases of handguns. This bill will NOT help reduce gun violence and gun trafficking in Massachusetts instead it treats lawfully licensed gun owners like criminals.

Gun traffickers are flooding our communities with weapons and fueling the gun violence that kills hundreds of people a year in the Commonwealth. We can NOT help keep illegal guns out of our communities by passing HB 3978.
We need your help to keep our communities safe by NOT SUPPORTING HB 3978.

Sincerely,
