ROFL cause they're ashamed of it.

While the presence of the lock won't stop me from buying an S+W
revolver, I have to agree that they look better without that ugly
thing being there. It's too bad it wasn't like a factory
option. (eg, you could order a SKU that didn't have the
lock. )
