My first experience there was disappointing. I had a meeting in the next town, so I went up early to see the shop for the first time. I planned to leave the shop with an 870, inventory permitting. I browsed for a few minutes before engaging a younger man at the counter. Since none of the 3 men there had asked if I needed help, I asked, politely, who was free for sales. He responded by asking if they were all invisible. The humor was lost on me. I proceeded down the counter to the shotguns and waited a minute or two to see if he might follow up by asking what I needed help with. As my business partner and I were walking out the door, he finally asked if we were all set.
I don't need special treatment from any retailer, but, since gun stores are not self-serve, a little help would be nice.
Determined to buy an 870, I bought one in Woburn after our meeting. While the Woburn shop leaves a lot to be desired, if I am willing to wait, I always get the complete attention of a salesperson.
