put a down payment on my first new gun in a few months... pretty damn excited not gonna lie. hopefully it will make a sept new acquisitions thread if i get it by then lol

This was a donation from my dad, his old safe he doesn't use anymore. You can guess how fun it was to move from one basement to another at 800lbs.

Picked this up today at H-S in Auburn
Shoots great, nice guys out there. 10% off all guns today so I couldn't pass it up.
Only 2 things left on my list, an AR and a shot gun. I want to build the AR.

Sweet, those are great.

Nothing really new. Finally put an Ergo grip on my M&P 15, also other goodies I'm not sure if I posted before.

Not actually a new acquisition, but I just got my heirloom Winchester model 1897 12 ga. back from the gunsmith and fired it for the first time. Originally the property of my great-grandfather (the World War II Gen.), the serial number indicates that it was built in 1925.

He made the action functional again, as well as modifying the chamber from 2.5 to 2.75 inches and converting the choke from full to improved cylinder (10 points). Stopped by the range on the way home and it functioned flawlessly!

What an epic month already. Minus new guy's POS.

[laugh]
I keed I keed.

Hey, I haven't ridden a mountain bike in something like 15 years. I figure getting an old, low mileage craigslist special was the right move. Plus, I might get to experience one of those carbon fiber "catastrophic failures" you hear so much about.

Very nice Ted! Who did the work?

Haven't posted in a while, here's my late August acquisition. Got lucky on a random run to Four Seasons, the wife insisted I take it home. It will be the last for a while, damn kids and their education [wink].

And a family portrait right after a well deserved cleaning.

1966 Winchester 94 in 30-30, previous owner owned since new, doesn't looked like it was ever fired or had a round down the magazine this thing is pristine
