Mosin bolt removal?

Just traded for my first mosin (well three of them actually). I wanted to give them a thorough cleaning. Can you easily remove the bolt from the rifles? If so, then how? Thanks

We've been checking out the sites recommended, and some others, to learn more about our new Mosin Nagant. I don't know how he figured it out, but my 13 year old son had the bolt out of that rifle before I could download the page that told me how to do it.

He had the bolt partially disassembled in a jiffy. Complete disassembly will wait for another day.

and putting back together is not that much more difficult.

Don't believe what you hear. I have a double fusion in my neck. A 91/30 is not an issue.

We also found it a milder shoot than we expected. Funnest gun I've shot in a long time, and my 13yo stood up very well. We'll see how we do after a hunnerd rounds or so down the pipe.

Just don't put the bolt back in after having not noticed that the trigger pin has fallen out. It's extremely difficult to get the bolt back out after you do that... ahem, or so I've heard .

Have you tried the Carbine model?
