I picked up a Marlin Model 795 (mag feed model 60). The smallest groups I can shoot with it are 3" at 25 yds, regardless of ammo used. I have a Glenfield Model 75 (Carbine version of the model 60). This rifle has issues loading rounds, but it can keep very tight groups.
Can I legally take the bottom half of the Model 795 and mate it with the upper half of the Model 75?
The Model 75 is old enough that it doesn't have a serial number, but all the rifle information is stamped on the barrel.
Can I create a Glenfield Model 75 that is magazine feed?
Thanks
