Mini 14 bolt

Ok, I already feel extra stupid. I've even read the dang manual.

For the life of me, I can't get the dern bolt back into the receiver. Anybody know what the trick is?

And not five minutes after I posted this, the bolt slid right in. After futzing for more than a day. Oh well.

a little tip...

Hold the rifle (barrel) so the muzzel is facing the ceiling.

Make sure that the back of the firing pin is pulled in the out position.

Line it up with the notch in the receiver and then angle and slide her home.

Trust me, not stupid... I spent about 20 minutes the first time I took mine down trying to get that back in.

Now she slides in easy every time.

Putting the bolt back in is one of the reasons I sold mine and got an AR15.

IDK, I like my Mini-14 just as much as my AR. Once you figure out the bolt, it really is just as easy as the AR IMO.
