Massachusetts Legislature Voting on Anti-Civil Rights Bill TODAY!

Im not trying to be “that guy” but it really saddens me when I read a lot of you saying “we’ll never have freedom here” or anything to that effect. Yeah, the path to freedom would be grim. Yes, standing up for our rights might be a hill we literally die on. But the ENTIRE point of 2A being enshrined in the bill of rights was resistance to tyranny. At what point will you stop asking for permission and start demanding freedom. Very simple. Do not comply. If any of you in LE want to try and enforce this tyranny, then you are making your bed and I have no sympathy if you lay in it. You think the legislature is going to come try and enforce things personally?

I understand that we are behind enemy lines, Karen and Susan down the street are all for this bill and think they should get to have a say in our lives. Personally, my guess is that the tree of liberty accepts watering from all sources. It’s just hard to stomach that tyranny comes from your neighbors just as much as it comes from our “representatives”.

I guess I’ll just pull my head out of my ass now an accept that as a community we probably don’t deserve the god given rights we have. We sure as shit don’t seem willing to meaningfully defend them.

Not worth it. They would just replace them with some other a**h*** zealot.

I'm taking your advice and leaving. Its in the works right now. Kids are moved out of state. Now its time for us to.

I can't say MA has been bad to me, I've made a life and raised my kids here. I've lived in place in this state that is mostly Republican. But its time to go......there is no changing this place. Its going to get worse.

Carrying on an expired LTC wouldn't be my first time...
I wonder how that would work in court.

Let's assume it is expired because the renewal date passed, but you have no criminal record, no red flag, no visits to mental institutions ... your only mistake was forgetting to renew.

Can the State really do anything more than spank you, call you a bad boy and make you pay a fine?

You haven't committed any crime and the renewal is not a mental health screening, it is just paying $100 fee for the privilege of exercising our rights.

Its not like the day before your birthday you were fine, totally legal, a good citizen, 24hrs later you are a POS, criminal, unsuitable to carry a gun.

Welcome to Massachusetts. Beacon hill slimeballs add anti-rights bullsh!t on the literal morning of a vote without telling anyone, and attach it to a completely unrelated bill.

It's a real thing.
Yep, and that’s what the republicans who voted for it will say. “It was attached to a bill I was in favor of, and I was torn, but I had to see my bill passed, even with that amendment.“ If your republican rep voted for this let them know that they’re a f*cking c*nt and tell them you will work to oust them come time for re-election.

the anti-2a people will be doing this to every bill out there.

"a hill we literally die on" - very very few will go that far here.
While I agree with your sentiments, that fight here won't be in my lifetime. Not enough patriots. All we can do right now is vote (for who/what?) or move.
MA has the lowest gun ownership in the country (14%). It's isn't happening here.

Fvck the PDs, they've contributed to everything that is coming their way and they deserve the real good fvcking they're about to get.

When did I say they didn't?

The fact remains that they're the only real hope for modifying this legislation, and not because they care about We The People: they care about their own inconvenience, and the hit their schedule and budget will take when they have to schedule all these interviews and process the apps.

I couldn't give a shit less about the wellbeing of cops, in general, but if we can use them to modify this ridiculous bill, we should.

Some would call that an exploitable asymmetry of capability.

Many others would call it an ethical problem.

You’re right though. I know you’re right. It deeply saddens me that I will either

A) die/be murdered here as some sort of crazy person for refusing to comply with bullshit

B) Die inside as I allow myself to comply and be complicit

C) Abandon my home, my family, and my heritage, because… reasons.

Edit:

D). Got a little coffee in me. MAYBE the Supreme Court actually does the right thing in the next few years. I still think Karen and Susan and the representatives they elect will be a problem because they will just call the Supreme Court illegitimate and ignore the rulings.

As a state we deserve what we vote for.......that's what we get as a community. A community I sure as shit don't belong in....because they've lost all freedom and common sense principles.

How willing are you to lose EVERYTHING you ever worked for to fight an uphill battle with people that do not think like you? That is the problem....you want to water the tree......you'll be ostracized like the January 6th people. You will be the madman, you will be the media shithead. I'm not willing to lose everything I worked for to fight for a state full of welfare, trust fund government loving shitheads that don't believe in freedom.

Its much easier to move on to another state where people believe in freedoms, go on and move about your free life.

Let this state rot with their welfare skids and political corruption.

I fully understand that eventually this shit could come to any doorstep, no matter where you move, and moving is just kicking the can down the road somewhat......but there will be states that will not tolerate it......and when that time comes......there will be a lot of people behind our way of thinking. That's where I want to be when the shit hits the fan.....side to side with neighbors who fxcking beleive in freedom. Not some pot smoking, welfare sucking, trust fund, or big government shithead Karen.

I hear you. And I realize that what you are saying is probably somehow morally superior in the short term.

I’m saying that instead of handing over our land to an unarmed and entitled mob, maybe we should give our neighbors the choice to either stay out of our lives, move, or die. Preferably in that order.

Come to Kentucky, but leave ALL MA induced belief systems behind.

As I've said before, "Massachusetts will collapse under the weight of its own ignorance." and that collapse date is drawing nearer at breakneck speed.

I agree, but let's not lose sight of the fact that filthy corrupt DimocRAT pols outnumber R's in the House by a ratio of 5:1. Dims control everything in this one-party-controlled commie state. R's are just along for the ride here in the PRM.

Truth. The quick & easy success of this incredible outrage will not go unnoticed by those constantly fighting against us.

Throw a brick through Karen and Susan's front window once a month on a rainy night. they'll get the message rather quickly.

No....morally your thoughts are superior.....no one will look at it that way when you are ostracized like a leper for trying to keep your rights. You might get a few here to say you were a patriot while you rot in jail. Yeah!

However, if you look at the fact, staying here and paying the taxes feed this beast to indeed help them take your rights away from you. Its a lot easier to say.....fxck that I'm moving to where people like me think.

Then if they try to take that......well.......I'm in good company.

Ive been to KY on a few hunting trips.....love it. But my daughter is in SC and we'll likely end up there or near there.

Dude, when MA is in my rearview........if anything......Im more free thinking than people in free states, because people in free states barely think about their freedoms they have, they take them for granted. Me.....I'll be valuing them every day Im gone from here.

@SheistyOne ... proved my point.

I'm a member of GOAL and GOA and I donate to FPC regularly, so essentially I'm trying to help fund them to do the work that I dont have the time, resources or connections to influence. (Like most everyone else on this board)

I purposely didnt respond to your comment last night because you are adding no value to this thread, but keep pounding away on your keyboard buddy.... pump those numbers up some more...
Sorry, I forgot you are adding a sh*t ton of value by insulting them in the thread.

I guess your way of patting yourself on the back is send them $5, then insult them because you did your part.

Then you try to insult me because I called you out on your BS.

I almost doubt you ever donated any money to GOAL. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are telling the truth.

Isn't it wonderful how your MA legislature turns a pro 2a ruling into a golden opportunity to not only uphold the ruling but make a lot of money ? Whats next ? Mandatory YEARLY renewal and "suitability" screenings? $500 / yr for your unrestricted LTC ?

One hopes the CoPs are scrambling to call their senators and the governor. As shitty as this deal is for gun owners, it's far worse for PDs.
maybe all you in MA should start calling your local CoPs and letting them know their workload is about to go up for no good reason. Then the CoPs can call the legislators and pressure them to stop this nonsense

Same here, there's nothing like experience behind the lines to forge ironclad rejection of tyranny.

Better if you douse them in gasoline and set them alight. For one thing, it doesn't involve fireARMS (just FIRE). For another, you can delight at their screams of agony, their blistering skin and bursting eyeballs, the smell of burning flesh and hair - surely a perfume pleasing to the gods!

So true Mark. When circling around SC and NC in April I had a smile on my face at the sights. Similar to where we are now but without the politics and unfettered pressure from Beacon Hill.

Goes to show we must come from tryanny to protect freedoms. Alot of immigrants that came from socialist and communist countries are the most ardent supporters of liberty here.

I see the main purpose of the Amendment as circumventing Bruen via greater/more frequent license hassle and applicant intimidation via the new interrogation thang.

The double-the-cost money bonus is just icing on the cake. [thinking]
