Martin and or Ray Romanian SKS slings and stocks

Hello guys
1. Do either of you have a correct sling for Romanian SKS. I like how these slings look and it looks like I will need to have one made.
What I need is some good detailed pics and measure ments though OR a sample sling to be copied? My friends wife is into horses and has a friend who makes all her saddle gear.
She says she could have any leather goods made for me at resonable price.

2, will a russian stock fit a romanian sks.....I need a romy stock. I just hate shooting the "cracked stock" one from century.

Take a look at this recent thread on the SKS Boards. In general, there are two widely accepted patterns for leather Romanian slings. As for dimensions, I don't have one to measure. But I do have an original Yugo sling that should be very close in length. I could get the measurements when I get home, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

There was a guy on GB that had Romanian slings with the buckle set up and all for decent money. Not sure if he still has any or not.

The full extended length (minus the tab straps) on an original Yugo leather sling is 43".

With the tabs, it is 48"

Oh, and a Russian stock should work fine. It may require some slight fitting around the crossbolt or extreme rear of the inletting. But for the most part, it should be a drop-in task.

This is the closet thing I could find for a romanian leather sling with the buckles.

Seller claims it came off a Romanian AK....its close but the sks sling does not have the D ring correct. I like this sling anyway.

Thats a sling for a Romi SKS. There are 2 different styles and that one is the more rare version. Its what I have on all my Romi SKS rifles.
