"Those aged 16 and older who wish to hunt bear, coyote, fox, bobcat and raccoon, or who want to train dogs to hunt bears, foxes and raccoons, will now be required to have a dog training and hunting permit.

The permit, which does not mandate any training for the dog handlers, costs $12 (plus agent fee). Proceeds from those sales will benefit the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife’s Landowner Relations Fund."

So the permit doesn’t do anything beyond taking more money out of the pockets of hard working men and women??

If the law mandates all hunters to use gps collars on dogs, why require a permit to go along with it?

MONEY

Good Hunting is all about money now. Its been that way for a long time.

Go out west and look how much they soak out of staters, or even midwest for deer tags and land leasing. Its big business.

Shit, Maine been soaking people for the opportunity to shoot a stupid moose for how many years now???

Just like MA just made up the pheasant permit, these states will be making up piddly ass permits forever now.
