Question. I am doing some research for a buddy who is moving soon. He is currently a MA resident. Does anybody have any input on whether it would be beneficial for him to get his MA LTC before moving to CT or to get his CT permit after he moves. Im not sure what the requirements are in CT and if it will be more work to do it there, or if the transfer from MA to CT is seemless or a pain in the *ss. I myself just have it in my head for some reason that once you have a MA license it is the easiest to transfer to other states as opposed to the other way around, but I could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

He's basically just going to have to apply for a new license in CT even if he as a MA one. I did the opposite...CT to MA, and the only thing you can use for both licenses is the basic safety course if it's by both a MA and CT approved instructor. If he doesn't plan on carrying in MA, then I'd say just forget the MA license and wait to apply for the CT one.
