For all those of you who hunt on farms across this region, please be aware of the plight that many of our dairy farmers are facing these days with rising prices on fuel, grain/feed and everything else.
Here in MA, State Rep. Dan Bosley just filed an
amendment to the budget "Dairy Farm Open Space Protection Fund". I'm not
sure how much you have heard about the milk pricing crisis Mass dairy
farmers are facing, but if you go to www.massdairyfarmers.com, it has all
the info. They are urging all dairy farmers, and friends of dairy farmers,
to call their state reps as soon as possible and ask them to co-sponsor the
amendment to the budget Rep Dan Bosley filed "Dairy Farm Open Space
Protection Fund". To find out who your state rep is, go to:

Please call your State Representative and let them know how important
preserving open land in Massachusetts is to you, and how this amendment
would help dairy farmers.
I for one don't want to lose my prime turkey hunting space, do you? This doesn't just affect farmers and their families and local communties, it affects the gracious people that allow a lot of us to use their lands to hunt, which means it affects you.
