thanks. I hope they find a museum. At least they turned it in and didn't get caught without a Form-4.
Won't hurt to check the NFA serial number registry. If it is already recorded, a new application might be in order.
If not, it can be donated to a museum, with a tax deductible benefit for the general value of the unit. Or, it can have the receiver cut with a band saw (no need to do two torch cuts, as it is not imported), and demilled. Then it can be sold as a parts kit.
If it was my town I'm thinking hopefully they'd be at the range playing with it.......just hope the bastards invite me if it ever happens. aul:
I have a friend with a machine gun license.

hmm, celebrate quietly with a machine gun?? Seems counterintuitive!honestly finding a machine gun in your house is like winning the lottery, you just have to celebrate more quietly.
I just opened a museum a moment ago. This can be the first donation.

get pics on the left side mag well if possible please. looks like an m3 with the cocking handle removed and a new charging handle slot milled into the receiver.
how come i never find these things in my house. best i found was a floppy disk that said porn but i had no floppy drive to enjoy it.
I didn't think anybody needed a license to own a machine gun or any other NFA firearm. You just need a license to sell them.i'm in a free state and don't need one. i got first dibs.

My understanding is that an individual owner has to fill out all the required ATF paperwork and pay the taxes and it has to be signed by the CLEO where you live. Since the majority of CLEO's will not sign the ATF forms most NFA regulated items are purchased using an NFA trust because the trust ownership does not require CLEO signatures. So do the paperwork, pay the taxes, pay the trust lawyers, and you can own a machine gun.
of course IANAL and I do not own any NFA regulated firearms so I could be wrong.
LolzI can see the cops face as the person turns it in "HOLY SH#& that's awesome!.....err I mean, uhh thank you ma'am we will dispose of this horrible weapon immediately"
check to see iff in the nfa registry, if so they can sell it.
yeah, this.Want !!!!
Maybe it's one of the ones that was converted to 9mm
