Authorities in Colorado are on the lookout for an “armed” 18-year-old woman believed “to be extremely dangerous” after several schools were put on lockouts earlier Tuesday.

"Lockout means biz as usual inside buildings, entry/exit restricted," Jeffco public schools tweeted.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, along with the FBI’s Denver office, posted a plea on Twitter for information about Sol Pais, who they said made her way to Colorado on Monday night and “made threats.”

Reports from Denver say she “is infatuated with Columbine” , bought a shotgun and ammo after arriving in Denver, and she is considered a credible threat to schools. 4/20 is the anniversary of the Columbine massacre.

There are a ton of people that are "infatuated" with Bernie Sanders. Should they all be arrested for being commies?

Closing schools in Denver for one person who at best might show up at the school is loser talk.

Reminds me of the hysteria that happened in Boston after the marathon bombing and the crazy that happened trying to catch those responsible.

The FBI and Jeffco Sheriffs Office used those words on their BOLO.
Bernie Sanders fans are welcomed in Colorado, school shooters aren’t.

This is a damned if you do damned if you dont. While the girl has broken no law, she has been reported as a credible threat. With the sensitivity surrounding Columbine, the date and the anniversary, they need to take these precautions. If they didnt and something happend....oofa!

Now if they locate the girl and she has done nothing wrong and they continue to harass her then I'm back in the F the PD camp. But it seems as if they are being prudent.

Let's all just pray she is not travelling with a dog.

What exactly did she do? Amazing journalism as usual.

Officials secured schools across the Denver area Tuesday as the FBI and local police hunted for a woman “infatuated with (the) Columbine school shooting” who had traveled to Colorado the night before, made threats and was considered armed and “extremely dangerous.”

Sol Pais, 18, who traveled to Colorado from Miami, was believed to be in the Denver-Littleton area after purchasing a pump-action shotgun as well as ammunition after leaving Denver International Airport, said Dean Phillips, special agent in charge of the Denver FBI office, during a Tuesday night news conference.

Pais is described as a white female, approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall, with brown hair. Sheriff’s officials said she was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, camouflage pants and black boots.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911, or call an FBI tip line at 303 630-6227. Tips can also be sent by email to [email protected].

A bulletin sent to local police said authorities do not have probable cause to arrest Pais, but that she should be detained for a mental-health evaluation.

Riddle me this batman......she apparently is a "resident" of Florida......travels to Colorado and purchases a shotty and ammo......how the fark does she manage to do that legally?

Current fed law doesnt allow for that to happen.....

Furthermore Colorado has mandatory universal background checks so even if it was a private sale it would have had to go through an FFL.....
Long gun purchases out of state are ok.

Need better pics... but maybe not guilty?

Father of woman 'infatuated' with Columbine shooting who triggered school closures hopes she turns herself in

The father of a woman "infatuated" with the mass shooting at Columbine High School -- and who triggered a manhunt and the shutdown of Denver-area schools Wednesday after she allegedly flew to the city and bought a gun -- said he just wants his daughter to come home.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the FBI said that Sol Pais, 18, is "considered to be extremely dangerous" after traveling to Colorado from Miami on Monday night before purchasing a pump-action shotgun and ammunition.

Pais had made threats to "commit an act of violence in the Denver metropolitan area" just days before the 20th anniversary of the attack, according to officials.

If she was known to the FBI. Why was she not denied on the purchase and a warrant for her arrest entered?

That's my question. She had made threats and/or veiled references about the attack in the past. The only reason I can think of with respect to the FBI not picking her up immediately, is that someone may have reported her activity after she took off. At that point, the FBI began investigating and uncovered what they've said publicly.

I hope she is found quickly and without incident. She clearly needs mental help.

A manhunt for a woman allegedly "infatuated" with Columbine who forced schools in Colorado to close after threatening violence came to an end Wednesday after was found dead in the mountains west of Denver.

Duh, just go to the local gun store and buy it. It's a long gun, so perfectly legal for a non resident to purchase.

If she's not a PP then how can the FBI LEGALLY deny the transaction?
Did you read any of the articles? She made threats before she went to Colorado.
