kahr K40 SA ?

I just purchased a Kahr k40. My understanding is that these pistols are meant to be DA only. The one I have purchased seems to be SA, ie I have to rack the slide in order to dry fire it. I haven't had a chance to bring it to the range, but I'm pretty sure this is the story. Has anyone ever heard of this sort of conversion being done?

These guns are glocks, they must be cycled each time for dry fire. I don't think the design of the Kahr lends itself to being converted to SA.
