I was afraid this would happen and it has. The legislature of RI has a number of bills in committee that would make "assault weapons" illegal and change the Town permitting process from "shall" to "may". They also want to outlaw any high cap mags, with no pathway to even keep them. Hopefully the RI community can rally again like last year and crush these things.

Don't let them modify it to keep old mags. Make it pass with confiscation. Easiest way to destroy the whole law in court. The CT ban isn't going to be revoked the courts are going to let it stand because of grandfathering.

Oh It smells much worse than CT. Joseph Almeidas bill has little chance of passing, especially with no co-sponsors. It almost looks like they are trying to set up a smoke screen with his bill so a "compromise" can be met with the other bills.

We need to make phone calls, write letters, make phone calls and some more phone calls. If these asshats can't do their day to day business because of how annoying we can be they are going to have to stop this nonsense.

stupid RI bill said:
11-47-33. Possession of firearms by minors. -- (a) It shall be unlawful within this state for any person under eighteen (18) years of age to possess and use any firearm.

This is how you do it. You stop children from learning about firearms and you stop getting people to vote against gun control bills.
