'It hurt so bad': Police 'executed' elementary school teachers with plastic pellets during active shooter exercise to show the results of doing nothing
  • Active-shooter training at an Indiana elementary school injured two teachers
  • The two teachers say they were forced to kneel down and were shot in the back
  • They say they were left with heavy bruising and sore welts following the exercise
  • 'They shot all of us across our backs. I was hit four times. It hurt so bad,' one said
  • White County Sheriff's office was carrying out ALICE training among schools
Elementary school teachers were left bloodied and nursing bruises and welts after sheriffs sprayed them with plastic pellets during an active shooter exercise.

Two elementary school teachers in Monticello, Indiana, said they were asked by the sheriff's office to kneel down against a classroom wall before being shot multiple times across the back with the pellets fired at close range.

'This is what happens if you just cower and do nothing', one of the teachers, who asked not to be identified, claimed the shooters said after the incident.

'They shot all of us across our backs. I was hit four times. It hurt so bad,' the IndyStarreported.

The Sheriffs could have shot them in the back with marshmallow guns and received the same reaction.

This x2 :(

These snowflake teachers need to know that doing nothing WILL HURT. Cowering in a corner gets you nothing more than dead, and the process of getting dead is going to hurt up until you are dead. Just because in a perfect world no one would ever have to train for, deal with, or even imagine a school shooter scenario does not mean that you can ignore that reality NOW.
Want to cower? Pay the price. That price is pain and death.
Want to fight back? Good! It may still hurt but its better than doing nothing, and you may even win.

This should be mandatory for every ALICE training going forward.

Pics of these serious injuries or it didn't f***in happen! I've been shoot at point blank range with airsoft guns before. Shit stings. I didn't cry about it because I'm not a giant pussy.

Clearly these infantile teachers didn't learn a damn thing from this experience and will probably repeat the behavior that got them "executed" again if this were to happen for real. I honestly hope the parents take notice and pull their kids out of there. Clearly their teachers don't give a f*** about keeping those kids alive.

I guess I'm in the minority here... But I like to think I'm fairly rational. I'm an MPTC firearms instructor and ALICE certified instructor as well. I'm sorry... But you can get the point across without blasting people with airsoft pellets at 350 fps. That's bullshit, and I'd be pissed if some hero blasted my wife with them to prove a point. Maybe they are snowflakes... Who gives a f***? Snowflakes are still allowed to NOT get assaulted with a dangerous weapon... Because that's exactly what happened.

And anyone who disagrees and wants to do an experiment, bring your wife down to the station wearing normal clothes, and I'll let you blast her with our airsoft Glocks. Then call her a snowflake when shes bleeding. Only caveat is I get to video it and put on YouTube.

That being said... If anyone on my department cries about being shot with them, I will mercilessly roast them and make them wear a vagina hat.

I’m fairly certain physical harm is forbidden under multiple laws and probably the teachers contract. They have a union with deep pockets and lots of lawyers - it’s going to cost them big time (unless they signed a waiver).

I do agree that it’s a great tool to inspire them not to cower in place - but it’s going to cost lots of money to get that point across.

Lining up the teachers and "executing" them doesnt seem like the most useful training tool. Using a derated, tuned down airsoft with significant noise, pyros, and lighting to simulate gunfire and induce stress will do more than get the point across. I have talked with teaches in our district that have completed the live action portion of ALICE training and it is intense and eye opening. One of the nice things I have also heard is they realize they are the only option these kids have and they understand they are empowered to act. The interesting thing is arming a teacher is only a tiny leap of faith from where a lot are coming out of the training, but I'm not holding my breath.

Training people to do things is hard, and it is something I have thought about a lot. One basic principle is that if students loose trust in your judgement, then you are of no further value as a trainer.

I could add caveats about how sometimes it is necessary to push people through things they don't like, don't want to do, or are afraid of. And these situations can make the students feel ambivalent about the trainer at times. But the overall principle still holds. If you show poor judgement, and lose the students trust, then all value from the "training" is compromised.

Your not alone.
That was pretty damn stupid and boarding on sadistic.
They could have yelled bang in their ears and still scared the piss out of them without causing any harm.
It's one thing when you sign up for that type of abuse. (And I have ) , but they didn't.

It hurt so bad, that's what the squirrels say when I dispatch them from the bird feeder with my pellet gun. Thing is they don't say very much after that. LOL

Oh yeah I almost forgot. Not that my English is in any way something to hold up as an example LOL, I find it disturbing that a "teacher" would say, "It hurt so bad." It should be, "It hurt so BADLY." But no surprise there that the ones who indoctrinate our school children to be sick socialists are very poorly educated themselves.

They knew what was going to happen. They were shown what was going to happen beforehand. Lets call them all a whaaaambulance. Suck it up buttercup
White County Sheriff Bill Brooks said:
The drill was conducted by the White County Sheriff's Department, which defended the methods it used. White County Sheriff Bill Brooks said participation was voluntary, and teachers were shown beforehand what the drill would entail.

"The training was meant to be realistic — to show what happens if you don't act," he said.

Good lord... I get that we live in a 'everyone gets a trophy snowflake generation'... but here's the bottom line. DO YOU WANT RESULTS OR NOT? You clearly aren't getting results in this scenario, so swallow your pride and ego, and HELP these people start to understand. You don't have to shoot them to do it... and you don't show someone the light by shining it in their face.

LOL, kids play air soft with just protective glasses and they don't bitch. and them rifles they get hit with shoot WAY faster then 350 fps.

My son plays airsoft, and it's max 350 fps indoors... Outdoors you might hit a max of 450, but there are standoff distances at that FPS. He's running a G&G CM16 that can run anywhere from 350-380. I'll bring it to an NES shoot and empty a burss in anyone's back that wants to volunteer. Wear a blouse like an elementary school teacher.
