Without any further ado, please allow me to introduce the latest addition to my armory:

This is a Smith & Wesson model 422, a semi-automatic .22LR pistol. It's positioned somewhere above the 22A/S line of plinkers but below the 41 (although it does share magazines with the 41).

Now, to brave the snow and cold to test her out...

Oh hell no. That money was as good as spent the minute it hit my clammy little hands...

I've got a cantankerous Hi Standard .22 auto that's apart more often than it's together (and parts are few and far between). Other than that, I had no .22 semi-auto in my armory. I had to rectify that tout suite!

It's a standard Weaver rail. Came with the gun, so I have no idea if the rail is easy to put on or not...
