I'm glad to see them come around.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Gays and Lesbians joining the fight to retain our rights.

I could care less about their sexual orientation, and they aren't normally sheeple.

They WILL write their rep's and they WILL get active in gun rights, if their past record about rights is any indicator.

I think it's great. I checked out their blog and they basically bash gun control all over the U.S. :D
 
They've been around for several years, but they're still treated like lepers by most of the gay and lesbian community, even getting banned from some parades and events. The same people who complain about being banned from the St Patricks Day parades, where they're really outsiders, think it's perfectly OK to treat their gun owning fellows in the same manner.

I know a couple of the major organizers from local political campaigns, and have had them send some of their people who're interested in getting into shooting to our classes. I probably draw the line at people who curse the Zionist dogs and mumble passages from the Quran to themselves during the safety videos, but aside from that a shooter is a shooter, and the more the better.

Yeah, they don't hesitate a micro-second to boycott anti-gun companies, which is more than I can say for most gun owners. The fact that they posted the companies, and their websites, speaks volumes, just by itself.
 
The Pink Pistols was very active in MA for a while until Dave Rostecheck (sp?) moved to the SW (TX, I believe) and they have since dropped off the radar screen around here.

They are a very SMALL minority of gays. I know a couple of gays, and they hate guns. Sen Barrios is an example, no way would he lift a finger to defend his worthless self! Unfortunately, he represents the majority of their people. They'll call 911, file lawsuits, picket, etc. but never defend themselves.

Truer words were never spoken. I've been on the receiving end and I'll NEVER go back there. And God help anyone who tries to take me back to being a victim. I have absolutely NO use or respect for anyone who doesn't believe in the right of self defense. Most of those folks have never been attacked.

I don't trust gheys, Frenchmen, or socialist weasals (ie Michael Moore and the twinkie factory) - but they ARE entitled to defend themselves - the 2nd Amendment isn't altogether inclusive. So long as THEY realize that when they attempt to tromple over the rest of our rights. Fpr every trampling of basic human rights there is a tar and feathering in order....

Diane Swinestein has a carry permit from the city of San Francisco. A US Senator - forget his name - who was antigun all around was caught with an AR15 in DC.......I have NO respect for anyone who undermines our rights - they are scum....

OK, I do want to make a serious point here.

I don't know any Frenchmen, so I can't speak to that. Most of our Mass politicians are socialist weasels, and I don't trust them.

I do, however, know quite a few gays, lesbians & bisexuals. They are my friends, and NOTHING about their sexual orientation makes me distrust them at all. Frankly, there are straights that I wouldn't turn my back on, and gays I'd trust with my life.

And as for "gay marriage"... "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

They want to marry, no problem. On this subject, I'm definitely in agreement with the Democrats. It's about FREEDOM.

To each his own. I know people don't like gay/lesbian people, thats fine. But they don't bother me, heck some of my friends at work are batting for the other team. [wink]

I'm going to add something to the COC to prevent religion from the forum. People take offense to it to easily and I don't want it in here.
 
My Dad was a crusty old conservative who voted 2nd Amendment above all else. His best friend in the Army Air Corps (CBI) was a hairdresser with all that being a hairdresser might imply. He said everybody in the outfit knew and they all liked the guy just the way he was. Don't Ask Don't Tell is a lot older than the Clinton Administration.

BS and you know it. I ask you to not employ censorship. Trust us mod's to make sure we can have civil disagreements on this board. That's what makes us America.
 
It's hard for me to understand why a group that is so high on the list of needing self defense is so anti-self defense. I've heard about Pink Pistols before and thought it was an amazing idea.
As far as gay marriage, I don't care who wants to marry whom. I think every person has the right to pursue happiness. In all fairness though, especially with divorce rates being so high, I think marriage should be replaced by civil unions across the board. I'm getting married in 2 months, but if I could just sign a piece of paper that says we each are entitled to 50% of whatever comes out of our union and go on my merry way it would save a lot of money and headache.

I think that it's the same mentality that results in a lot of women being instinctively anti-gun, even when that's the best equalizer. Why do so many Jews adopt the same attitude, despite about 3000 years of empirical evidence that there really are a lot of people whould like nothing better than to kill every last one of them? I guess some people get their minds poisoned early on with the absurd notion that, if only they act harmless, everyone will be nice to them.

Until they find out the hard way that mind set usually doesn't work... sometimes they smarten up a bit tho. The sad part is that most don't, even after they become a victim to a crime that they might have prevented had they been armed. (I know, I'm preaching to the choir :D )

Damned good question, Ken. I only knew one Jew who was actively progun (aside from myself, of course!).

I was visiting a friend who was in another medievalist group (Markland Medieval Militia, if you're interested), and Rory was showing me his wheel-lock. His father, a small wizened man with a tattoo on his forearm, sniffed angrily and said that the wheel-lock was a waste of time. Told me that Rory should have gotten a REAL gun, like a Colt .45.

So some of us do learn from the past. Just not all. :(

Ross, make that two! Actually this isn't true, off-hand I know of three Jewish doctors (2 are members of BR&P) and two Jewish attorneys (Jesse Cohen is one of them) who feel as I do. I'm sure that there are others from BR&P that I know but can't think of right now.

I've always been perplexed by the asinine pacifism and that most fellow Jews haven't learned from events such as the Holocaust!!

Ken may recall someone called "Midnight" something or other on MAF in the very early days. She was the Wife of an officer of GOAL. I had written a very long dissertation on the subject and somehow the software I was using (some Email system designed by a fellow World subscriber) locked up and it was all lost. Never was able to recreate it, unfortunately.
