^^ this quote made me scratch my head. Great anyone can get a license but they may or may not need to belong to a club, have a doctor sign off, be forced into a heavily restricted license or any number of thing.
I were to generalize my issues with mass laws pertaining to myself I would list them as follows
1.) licensing irregularities: I don't want to loose my rights just because I choose to move to a different town.
2.) AG consumer safety regs: All of the loaded chamber indicators in the world wont stop the morons from shooting themselves.
3.) Clarity of the laws: I want to be able to read and clearly understand them without having to consult a lawyer who will then reference case law and get me my answer after I pay them.
John Rosenthal, president of the advocacy group Stop Handgun Violence, said Massachusetts gun laws are a model for the rest of the country, and it is no coincidence the state has among the lowest per-capita gun deaths per year. "Our gun laws work, he said.
Rosenthal, who is a gun owner, said he frequently hears from other gun owners about the burden of Massachusetts gun laws, but he doesn't put much stock in it.
