If I obtained non-resident LTC in one town, can I renew it elsewhere?

Question.

I obtained my non-res, RI LTC in a small town in RI. Due to staffing issues, and an onslaught of applications, it took from September to April to get the LTC.

When I go to renew, can I renew anywhere, or do I have to return to the same town that issued my original license?

Thanks

Since you have to go through the entire process, including qualification, there's no reason not to go to a different town if it's better. The town, not the state, issues the permit in RI. Unless you go through the AG, which is a different animal. You should list your then current RI permit on the application as they all ask if you have permits in other states and for most part they will not issue a non resident if you don't have a permit in your state of residency.
