I found this on the range yesterday. Appears to be aluminum. Has a (used) primer and hole for flame travel. But very little room for powder or bullet. Some kind of blank?

Maybe.Its a simunition 9mm round
I Worked at a building in north andover that was huge and mostly abondoned. One whole wing was force on force training for most of the local pdsMaybe.
That would explain the lack of powder capacity and dimensions for seating projectile.
I just googled and looked at about forty images. Simunition doesn't appear to have same base. So perhaps a similar product by another name?
Paging Anchor! Now for the fun part. Next time you're at the range, toss it in the range bag of someone else, preferably an older Fudd, and confuse the crap out of them.
while googling the original post of this thread, i came across several pics of this. identical really to my old eyes. i'm just too lazy to go back and do the search all over. it's up to someone else now.Now how about this thing? Real bullet but appears to be a bi-metal case. Google search came up empty for me.
That looks like a shell shock casePaging Anchor!
