I though mill spec 1911A1's were "inaccurate".

I've been reading BROTHERS IN BATTLE BEST OF FRIENDS. It's about "Wild Bill" Guarnere and "Babe" Heffron of Band of Brothers fame. I thought it was appropriate to shoot my Ithaca.

7 shots 230 grain FMJ Ball with 5.0 grains 231W. The one stray was me. [rolleyes]

I can live with that kind of accuracy. Was funny going from my S70 Colt trigger to the milspec trigger.

It was mostly that mil spec 1911a1's where shot to hell. The ones I was issued where past turn in time. Just junk. Now if they had been through a refurb program I am sure they would be as good as my new 1911a1.
