Then, guns will never be your number one issue.

Sometimes brothers love their sisters, and some fathers love their daughters. The State will never issue a license for those marriages.

As they are part of "everyone", you need to re-state your position, or admit that you have safely kept the right to defend yourself with a gun from ever being your number one issue.

The 2nd is the last line of defense of all our other rights. Without arms the country never would have been founded. Clearly this right ranks up there, right under freedom of speech which is our 1st line of defense. What a coincidence that they were ordered that way!

Bingo. Our government is about checks and balances. I certainly don't think that things have gotten to the point where a revolution is required, but government having control over the people is the reverse of the founding fathers intent.

Personally I would be in favor of the state totally removing themselves from the contract.

SemiAutoSam, I agree with you on this point, government and marriage should be kept apart, far far apart.

Some of us don't disagree about those sorts of things, but most of us hold RKBA as being more important than all that other crap- because what good
does anything else mean, if the government can simply take the other rights/freedoms away by force? (well, at least that's what happens when the people have nothing to shoot back with, after the government gets away with stealing it all. )

A bunch of people hue and cry "oh thatll never happen here!" but they are clearly ignorant of history. Unarmed populaces in the face of tyrannical
governments eventually = genocide.

I agree.

Obama supporters are just like zombies, except they care absolutely nothing about brains..... Be afraid...

ZOBOMBIES. [smile]

I can't speak for anyone else, nor would I presume to. My choices in the last election were between a liberal and a socialist. Admittedly, the fact that Dear Leader is anti-gun was one of the main reasons I wouldn't vote for him, but it wasn't the only one, by far. The other reasons have been rehashed here ad infinitum.

I've generally found that a politician's stance on the 2nd amendment tells me a whole lot about how they view citizens in general. Free men own guns, slaves don't. Those who would disarm their fellow citizens are little better then slave owners, no matter how benevolent they make themselves out to be.

Then again, maybe I'm just one of those bitter people clinging to my guns and religion. [wink]

Well Said.

The 2A exists for the purpose of giving the citizens the ability to overthrow the government if it oversteps its authority.

To shoot soldiers , police and political activists who are acting against the intent of the Founders & their Constitution , to preserve My freedom.

What evidence do we have that Obama is not putting himself on the wrong end of privately armed citizens ?

This thread proves a political sub-forum is ESSENTIAL.

PS.

I've spent close to $400 on ammo this month not including reloading supplies. However, that doesn't come close to the OP...

My latest ammo acquisition.

Yummy .45 ACP goodness!

As one example: I'm not gay, but until everyone can marry the person who they love, guns will not not my number one issue. And why should that mean we disagree on everything? Just because we disagree on gay rights, we don't have to disagree on guns or taxes.

Fact Check zepp, Obama does not support Gay Marriage and neither does Biden.

Fact: Obama beleives in "Common Sense" gun laws including making the previous AWB permanent. You can look this up on his "Urban Policy" section of his agenda on his website.

Question: Where can I get .45 ACP and .357 Mag in bulk quantities at resonable prices? Wally World never seems to have more than a handful of boxes. I think I need to dump a good sum into a stockpile soon. The world and Congress are getting closer to socialism at a faster pace then I ever thought possible.

Order bulk through a shop in NH. State-Line is really good about that, they're in Mason.

The fact that I wouldn't be welcome here because I support Obama exemplifies one of the reasons that we don't make much headway with those who would seek to outlaw guns. You attack me even though we agree on how guns should be treated. How is this helpful for the cause? Instead of attacking me, perhaps you should try to explain to me why guns are your number one cause and why they should be mine as well. Until you try to do that, you'll never convince anyone.

Can someone PM me with instructions on how to put someone on "ignore"?[thinking]
