During that timeframe, it was not unusual for helicopter pilots and critical MOS aircrew members to be called back to Vietnam a year or so later. To avoid a year-later callback, the only stabilized tour was going back to the Army's Flight School as an instructor pilot which took the heat off. Interesting times for sure!
