I have a 22 revolver that is an 8shot 22 long and there's 4 numbers on the barrel and the cylinder 3568 I'm trying figure out how old it is and the make and maker

Normally the manufacturers name is on the firearms somewhere.

Can you post a picture/pictures, especially showing any markings?

What you have given doesn't allow us to make more than a SWAG (Scientific Wild A$$ Guess).

Looks like 1925-26.

Years 1908 - 1926 serial numbers 1 - 25000

From "The Standard Catalog of Smith&Wesson" 3rd edition pg.399 serial nos. C1-223998 1948-1951. I'd guess yours was made in 1949.
