Beautiful. Thanks so much.

crazy site. Found a bunch of screws but not the one I think I need but again…feeling a bit blind in this search.
Ok. This is the screw I need! It’s the one that makes it a 5 screw !!!

The pic looks just like my gun.

Numrich does not show any. But you might also try Jack First.

I'll also ask on the Smith-Wesson Forum for you.

I have a 22 revolver that is an 8shot 22 long and there's 4 numbers on the barrel and the cylinder 3568 I'm trying figure out how old it is and the make and maker

Normally the manufacturers name is on the firearms somewhere.

Can you post a picture/pictures, especially showing any markings?

What you have given doesn't allow us to make more than a SWAG (Scientific Wild A$$ Guess).

Similar request for date of mfg. .44 special CTG... serial #23768.... no model number anywhere.... could this be a 1925 vintage? Thanks in advance!

Could anyone help with the date of manufacture on a newly acquired Smith & Wesson M&P 38 "pre model 10"?

Here is a link that goes to the listing at Guns International that includes several photos:

Guns International

Thanks in advance,

Leon

Looks like you have to join that website to view anything. Personally, I tend NOT to do that, but someone else may or may already be a member.

From "The Standard Catalog of Smith&Wesson" 3rd edition pg.399 serial nos. C1-223998 1948-1951. I'd guess yours was made in 1949.
