SEABROOK — Neighbors of a popular firing range that recently reopened after two years are seeking some peace and quiet.
But despite a petition signed by 35 people requesting some relief, selectmen this week were unwilling to attempt to broker any type of accommodation that would lessen the noise of gunfire for those living nearby.

Selectmen made it clear they weren’t going to be changing anything at the range.
“There’s no vote here to close the range,” said Selectman Brendan Kelly, who added that in his six years on the board, he’s never been contacted on any issue as often as he has about use of the shooting range.
Selectmen Ed Hess and Aboul Khan agreed about allowing the range to operate as it has been.
