I tried the search but didn't see what I'm looking for. There is a guy at most gun shows who makes molded hearing protection, does anyone know where he is out of and how to get in contact with him ? Thank you.

Michael Maal, Hearsafe is the other guy who does all the gun shows.
HEARSafe USA Custom Earmolds - aka HEARSafe
Had an audiologist do mine also. They do cost more than ones from the gun show/shoots, but the quality is far better and since they do a hearing test before and after, guarantee about 40 Db reduction in sound transmission. If that is not achieved, another set is made. Have never had a problem though, with the three sets they have made for my son and me.

Can anyone quantify "costs more than at a gunshow"?
Okay. I paid $125 at the Dr.'s office for perfectly fitting, 40Db sound reduction guaranteed.

What was the cost to make them up at Mass Eye & Ear?
Several years ago I had a pair of HEARSafe plugs made at a local show. They've been fine as standalone ear pro for most things. I do like to double up with muffs in certain circumstances like shooting at an indoor range. You guys wearing the custom earplugs, do you still double up with ear muffs? I feel like since I do that, my ear plugs are good enough.
Do you have the contact info for the place at Mass Eye and Ear you had them done at? If yours work well at the range I think thats the route I would like to go.Just received my ear plugs today, I'll report back when I have a chance to try them out. I do like the way they fit and feel.
