H.R. 1022: To reauthorize the assault weapons ban, and for other purposes

Last edited:
This is a bill that was introduced in the US House of Representatives not in the MA state house or what ever you all there call your state legislature.

You can find your Federal House Rep with the following site.

http://www.house.gov/

The following link takes you to a page that gives you an idea whats going on in the floor of the "House"
http://clerk.house.gov/floorsummary/floor.html

Good luck and pass the word to everyone you know to call and write and E mail your rep's.

Excuse my ignorance, but...

I'd like to write a letter but I'm not exactly sure who to write to.

I see that it says in the House Of Representatives, so I check on project vote smart and I see that in my area:

William Delahunt is the rep for the US House
and
Shirley Gomes is the rep for the MA House.

So who do I write to??

They're probably all from unflippable liberal districts, too.

The question everyone has forgotten to ask is why hasn't pelosi and
other antis signed onto this bill? I think even the veteran antis
realize the bill does not have a snowballs chance in hell of passing.

signed: my polite view on the issue:

HR 1022 is in gross violation of our 2nd ammendment rights. The 2nd Ammendment is what guarentees us all the other rights afforded to us in the Constitution. Without it we become meer slaves. The government of the U.S. must ALWAYS be subservient to it's citizen's. Denying a citizen their right and means to defend themself is not only unconstitutional but also inhumane and un American.

write write write!

I just wrote a letter to William Delahunt asking that he does not support this bill, and I'll be dropping it in the mail tomorrow.

i just emailed delahunt and will follow up with a written letter as well.

signed the petition, too

I wonder what these cocksucker's first thoughts are going to be when the real shooting starts in this country?

I'll tell you one thing......"ooops" aint going to cut it. If they think they have a potential problem with a few foreign terrorists in our midst, just wait until a few million well armed American citizens get pushed too far and just say f*** YOU CONGRESS!!!

Go and read the Turner Diaries. Aside from the racist overtones it gives you an idea of what could happen if Americans really do get pushed a little too far.
