I hope this petition has some effect. I read through some of the commentary. It's heartening to know there are a fair number folk (Even in Kalifornia) making educated comments who are vehemintly opposed to this travesty.

This is a bill that was introduced in the US House of Representatives not in the MA state house or what ever you all there call your state legislature.

I see that it says in the House Of Representatives, so I check on project vote smart and I see that in my area:

William Delahunt is the rep for the US House
and
Shirley Gomes is the rep for the MA House.

So who do I write to??

The question everyone has forgotten to ask is why hasn't pelosi and

HR 1022 is in gross violation of our 2nd ammendment rights. The 2nd Ammendment is what guarentees us all the other rights afforded to us in the Constitution. Without it we become meer slaves. The government of the U.S. must ALWAYS be subservient to it's citizen's. Denying a citizen their right and means to defend themself is not only unconstitutional but also inhumane and un American.
