Good Morning all, My Dad left me a numbers matching WWII German HSC. The hammer is in the cocked position but the trigger will not pull back to release the hammer. (No, the safety isnt on). I am looking for a quality gunsmith who knows what he is doing on this particular firearm. Please, does anyone have a local suggestion? Thank you all in advance.

Maybe it's not so local to you, but I can't recommend Northeast Arms in Peabody, enough.

He did some work on a WWII gun for me, a Beretta M1934. (Ok technically mine was made in the 70s)

He did great work.

As mentioned earlier, if it has a magazine disconnect, it will not function without a magazine in place and I recommend Dave Santurri highly.
