If only that were true.

They can and do prosecute on non-law and you can even lose the case if your lawyer is too stupid or inexperienced to defend you properly. There's a thread hereabouts on a man criminally charged with carrying a firearm without a license (he has one, just expired) and ALSO a licensee carrying while intoxicated (because expired, he's not a licensee).
 
Yeah but we all know the original fed and original MA AWBs were never that all-inclusive, and there's decades of interpretation that
supports the original, accepted "biblical" view of the MA AWB. Further, she didn't come to any conclusion...

I agree with you Mike. This carries a lot of weight in the case together with notes that exist from the time they were discussing and voted on the MA AWB. This is not subject to re interpretation everything is documented and the facts are fully supported.
It’s just expensing to fight this and the AG knew that. On the other hand the taxpayers are eating the bill so she can make a name for herself.
