Front sight options

I got in on the Remsport barrel buy and the barrel specs are as follows:

.920 Dia. to the gas block and then .725 dia to the threads or end of the barrel

Is it possible to get a standard front sight base to put on this myself with out having to thread and tap one?

This is going on an A2 upper so i don't want a gas block with a folding front sight.

The correct sized gas block is .750 which is a std. size available from midway, etc.

I confirmed this with John last week.
