Mauser Rear Sight Base “Un-Solder”

Got an old a Turkish Mauser. Re-barreling, wanted to get the old rear sight base off first. Had to heat with a propane torch to un solder it. Is there any risk of damage to the receiver ring? It’s not like it changed colors or anything. . . Just got a bit hot

They're on there pretty good. You could have put a wet rag on the receiver to keep it cool.
