If you could own ONLY firearms chambered in just four calibers/gauge.

What calibers/gauge would you choose?

(since Zappa pointed the gauge technicality, I'll ask for a bonus caliber)

And for the bonus: add one obscure caliber (ones not usually found in gun shops, dsg, or wal mart)

.308, 45, 12g, 22lr - Mostly because they are common and I love these calibers.

If I dont have to worry about ammo cost/availability, .308, 10mm, 12g, .22lr

.22LR, 9mm, .357 & .308

Shotguns don't count because they're gauges not calibers [wink]

A more realistic question for this group would be, "if you could only have four guns in each caliber, what would they be?" [laugh]

.22LR
9mm
7.62x39
12 ga

I have weapons in two other calibers, but neither of them are obscure enough to be my bonus caliber [frown] That's too bad, because I really like those guns.

I have the same list as some have suggested:

9mm
5.56/.223
22LR
12Gauge

No, really. Those are what I have.

If we could extend the list, I'd add .45ACP, .308, and maybe 6.8SPCII as my 'exotic.' At least, those will probably be next on my "to get" list.

From there, I'd start doubling up on some (different 9mm and/or 45), before moving on to stuff like .458 SOCOM. By then I'll be reloading....
