I like the individual club pages in the Outdoor Message. It's a useful and easy way to convey info. However, something better might be nice. Most of the local gun clubs have terrible web pages and staff are streched thin. What if the NES offered for rent or for free, a dedicated forum for each local club? Just a thought. What do you think?

MY BAD - Just noticed the Dealers/Ranges section. Thought it was just for Dealers. Sorry.

The reasons why club websites are so lacking is:

- Lack of follow-up on posting info,
- Webmaster frequently isn't given the info to post in a timely manner,
- Volunteer help, done as a spare time project and as spare time becomes scarce . . .

If such were created here on NES by the clubs, it wouldn't work very well in many cases because:

- Someone would have to pay, clubs typically don't want to pay and thus their websites and other ways of communication aren't the best.
- Someone would have to keep up with the info, if they don't do it for their own website, why would they do it here?
- Basically same problems as above, but to a smaller audience . . . we're still in the 1200 member range, the web is in the hundreds of millions range.

Best solution is that if you are a member of a club, write something up and post it in the Clubs forum, keep it up to date . . . that's your challenge. [wink]
