Looking to streamline a build I have been contemplating. If I wanted to machine an 80% ar lower and NFA as an SBR under a trust, would I put the trust under purchaser information and my personal information as seller information? I'm not sure how to handle this without seeing a hole for the fine state of massachusetts to thoroughly bone me through. Generally speaking, how does one FA10 a self-made firearm? Do I need to do this as a two-step process, or can I get it done in one step? This is just the MA end of things, I know the steps with the feds for the NFA business. Thanks for your help.

you shouldn't. YMMV IANAL.

if you really WANT to, just do the "registration" option. in the eyes of the feds with a form 1 YOU (your trust, really) is the manufacturer of the firearm, therefore that's how it is going to be for all time. when i made my SBR the manufacturer of the lower is pretty much irrelevant at this point as my trust assembled the thing into the actual firearm. make more sense?
