Excited: New Deep Sea Jigging Setup

Was up at Kittery Trading Post today....couldn't help myself and picked up a new Shimano Trevala rod and Butterfly jig setup.

Can't wait to try it out at sea, I hear the butterfly jigs are killing them out there! Here's my new setup:

Shimano Butterfly Jig - 12 oz, 325g with a Dancing Stinger Double Hook 5/0, Owner Solid Rings and Owner Hyper Wire + 2 Cod God pink teasers

6'0" Shimano Trevala 65lb-200lb Rod - This thing bends like a mofo, it's incredible.

And I figured since I was there I'd reskirt all my convential jigs as well for my massive 7'0" Boat rod

I read about those butterfly jigs in On The Water last year while I was on deployment, they are supposed to be the new hotness, good luck!

Yea, i tried it in my pool today, looks amazing.

Did a little more shopping today, picked up a brand new Shimano Torium 30H high speed reel, loaded with 65 pound braided line.

Also grabbed 2 more butterfly jigs. I'm totally ready to go next deep sea trip, I can't wait.
