Worked with a guy who had a CCW from his previous state. Never had any issues. Was working in NC for 9 months so he changed his residency so he could purchase guns in NC. NC has a pistol purchase permit requirement from the Jim Crowe era. Sheriff denied the permit because someone with the same name in Texas was a PP. SO did not try to verify that he was not the same person.
SO almost denied my wife. But this time took the step to ask a question that proved the person with a similar name was not my wife.
