This chart will open some eyes. It shows the amount of civilians killed by governments after being disarmed. Who knows if the number of deaths can be contributed directly to disarmament, but it proves the point that unarmed civilians are defenseless and unable to resist the power of tyrannical government (wait, is tyrannical government redundant? )

Notice how practically all of these countries are either communist, socialist or the like.
