Culper Precision recently introduced their Block19 customization option for the third and fourth generation Glock 19 pistols. The Block19 customization is designed to resemble a gun made of Lego bricks, but of course, be fully functional at the same time. Aside from resembling a Lego gun, Culper Precision machines the slide to actually accept Lego (or aftermarket bricks), and comes with a kit of bricks and superglue to fashion a makeshift red dot and iron plastic sights. The owner of Culper Precision, Brandon was kind enough to explain more below:

The idea is that customers who have a Gen 3 or 4 Glock 19 with a black polymer frame and have already purchased an aftermarket blank slide (no serrations on the front or back, no optic cut…etc) from us, from Brownells, from Lone Wolf, or other suppliers can send that in and we will return a Block19 to them for around $600. The block slide requires an aftermarket blank slide as the front and rear factory Glock serrations interfere with the bosses that make it possible to attach your own lego pieces to the slide, and we are above all, super excited to see what people build on to their Block19 slides!
We are working with a company that builds custom blocks kits to possibly come up with a little kit of legos that will ship with Block19 so that customers can build stuff like iron sights and slide mounted optics to go on their Block19s as they will snap on and off like you are used to from when you were building pretend guns out of the Legos you got from Santa. The main difference here is that once you settle on a design you like, using superglue to adhere the blocks to each other and to the slide is ultra important. We had customers put about 2000-2500 rounds through the Block19 prototype at Utah Shooters ‘Shootah’ event the day before father’s day and while we had some internal bets as to how long the superglued ‘sights’ and ‘optic’ would hold up they held together for around 1500 rounds and ended up tearing the plastic blocks where there was no superglue and after some *careful* re-application of superglue to the torn blocks, held together for the rest of the day, so we’ll have some instructions and insights for builders putting their own stuff together for on their own Block19s so that they can be sure to have the best possible shooting experience once they settle on a final design for their Block19 builds.
