CMP Garand Purchase?

CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) ships M1 Garand right to your house (or work), no FFL involved...
What does the State 'O CT think about that??? Anyone know?
There's plenty of CMP application paperwork and documentation you need to provide, but how does it get around individual State requirements...

The only time you have to do paperwork for a long gun is for an in-state retail sale; your good to go w/ CMP.

Just do what the CMP says and you are fine. If feels naughty to receive a rifle in the mail, but its completely legal.

If you get your C&R, you can get rifles AND pistols through the mail or via the BBT. It's fun!

I actually have my C&R. I've had it for about 2 years. i just haven't bought anything yet. It was worth it just for the discounts at places like Brownells.

Absolutely. It's also great to find deals at places like Southern Ohio Gun, CAI, etc., etc. A great way to build a great collection.
